An explicit solution to the weak Schottky problem

چکیده

We give an explicit weak solution to the Schottky problem, in spirit of Riemann and Schottky. For any genus $g$, we write down a collection polynomials $g$ theta constants, such that their common zero locus contains Jacobians curves as irreducible component. These arise by applying specific Schottky-Jung proportionality quartic identities for constants $g-1$, which are suitable linear combinations Riemann's relations.

An explicit solution to the multi-level programming problem

The multi-level programming problem is defined as an n-person nonzero-sum game with perfect information in which the players move sequentially. The bi-level linear case is addressed in detail. Solutions are obtained by recasting this problem as a standard mathematical probram and appealing to its implicitly separable structure. The reformulated optimization problem is linear save for a ~ompleme...

An Explicit Solution to Post's Problem over the Reals

In the BSS model of real number computations we prove a concrete and explicit semi-decidable language to be undecidable yet not reducible from (and thus strictly easier than) the real Halting Language. This solution to Post’s Problem over the reals significantly differs from its classical, discrete variant where advanced diagonalization techniques are only known to yield the existence of such i...

An Explicit Solution of the Lipschitz Extension Problem

Building Lipschitz extensions of functions is a problem of classical analysis. Extensions are not unique: the classical results of Whitney and McShane provide two explicit examples. In certain cases there exists an optimal extension, which is the solution of an elliptic partial differential equation, the infinity Laplace equation. In this work, we find an explicit formula for a suboptimal exten...

A Complete Explicit Solution to the Log-Optimal Portfolio Problem

Kramkov and Schachermayer (1999) proved the existence of log-optimal portfolios under weak assumptions in a very general setting. For many – but not all – cases, Goll and Kallsen (2000) obtained the optimal solution explicitly in terms of the semimartingale characteristics of the price process. By extending this result, this paper provides a complete explicit characterization of log-optimal por...

Hölder continuity of solution maps to a parametric weak vector equilibrium problem

In this paper, by using a new concept of strong convexity, we obtain sufficient conditions for Holder continuity of the solution mapping for a parametric weak vector equilibrium problem in the case where the solution mapping is a general set-valued one. Without strong monotonicity assumptions, the Holder continuity for solution maps to parametric weak vector optimization problems is discussed.
